We’ve started a new Italian restaurant project at House of Bohn called Piva Restaurant! Located in New Westminster, Piva Resturant will be a welcomed addition to the city’s mainly chain restaurant scene. The approx. 3500 sq./ft. space will boast a menu of farm fresh inspired Italian cuisine, a diverse selection of fine wines, intimate lounge area and a second level mezzanine we’ll be designing to maximize the amazing ceiling height. The whole interior design team is excited about this one because it’s guaranteed to be a gorgeous addition to our portfolio.
Piva Restaurant will have a distinct masculine feel with a refined sensibility found in its tailored detailing and glamorous accents. Guests will see an eclectic mix of warm finishes, such as caramel stained wood and aged brass, paired with dark elements of black industrial iron and rich leathers. We’ll be using dramatic marbles in gold and red throughout the space to create custom patterns on the floor. Tufted booths and brass framed seating will give a retro throwback to the days of men discussing business over a scotch in a smokey social house after work. The use of old world architecture will be given a quirky sense of humor by building arches with an oblong shape and incorporating fragmented classical Roman sculptures.
Sounds delicious, right? What do you think?
A couple of weeks ago we had the investor group into the studio to discuss Piva Restauarnt’s floor plan. Check out the video from our YouTube channel below.
Piva Restuarnt is projected to open in summer/fall of this year. Keep watching the blog, YouTube and Instagram to watch as this interior design project progresses.
